Efya

Efya, born Jane Awindor on April 10, 1987, in Kumasi, Ghana, is a highly acclaimed Ghanaian singer-songwriter and actress.

Efya gained prominence in the Ghanaian music industry through her participation in the maiden edition of the “Stars of the Future” talent show in 2006, where she emerged as the first runner-up. Since then, she has released several successful albums, singles, and collaborations, showcasing her versatility across various genres, including soul, R&B, Afrobeats, and highlife.

Some of Efya’s popular songs include “Best in Me,” “Forgetting Me,” “Until the Dawn,” “Gingam Too Much,” and “Love.” She has collaborated with numerous artists both in Ghana and internationally, further solidifying her status as one of Ghana’s top musicians.

In addition to her music career, Efya has also ventured into acting, starring in several Ghanaian movies and television series. Efya’s contributions to Ghanaian music and entertainment have earned her numerous awards and accolades, including multiple Ghana Music Awards and nominations.
