Mountain Afadjato

Mountain Afadjato is located in the Volta Region of Ghana, near the border with Togo, and is one of the highest mountains in the country.

The mountain is also known as Afadja. The summit is 885 meters (2,904 ft) above sea level, making it the highest mountain in Ghana. Mount Afadjato is an important cultural landmark for the local people, who consider it a sacred site and a symbol of their cultural identity.

This mountain is believed to be the home of the god of the Ewe people, who are indigenous to the area or been protecting the area. The mountain is home to a diverse range of plant and animal species, including rare and endangered species such as the West African black colobus monkey and the white-throated guenon.
