Abraham Attah

Abraham Attah is a talented Ghanaian actor who gained international acclaim for his debut role as Agu in the 2015 film “Beasts of No Nation.” Born on July 2, 2001, in Accra, Ghana, Attah was discovered by director Cary Fukunaga while playing football in his hometown.

“Beasts of No Nation,” directed by Fukunaga and based on the novel by Uzodinma Iweala, tells the story of Agu, a young boy forced to become a child soldier during a civil war in an unnamed West African country. Attah’s performance in the film was critically acclaimed, earning him widespread recognition and several awards.

Attah’s portrayal of Agu was praised for its raw emotion, authenticity, and depth, despite having no prior acting experience. He received numerous accolades for his performance, including the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at the Venice Film Festival.
